Licensed to Chill

admin @ 10:01 am

Alan Steward’s latest album “Licensed to Chill” effortlessly crosses genres from world music to techno, funk to world jazz, pop to almost classical. The album features vocals in five different languages and dialects and a range of exotic instruments from Sitars, Saz and Tambouras to African percussion. Throw in a generous helping of synthesizers and vocoders, top it off with cool saxophone, smooth acoustic and electric guitars and all your efforts to categorize Alan Steward’s music just fall flat.
Licensed to Chill is chillout music that doesn’t put you to sleep. The jazzy, funky beats in “Licensed to Chill” blend well with the exotic voices and instruments for a unique mix that will not only play well at the chillout bars of Ibiza but will ’strike a chord’ with anybody who simply appreciates good music.
